For anyone who’s sat among coughers, snifflers, and sneezers on public transport, you probably already know we’re in the thick of flu season
That means, if you haven’t already, it’s time for a flu shot – or, at the least, a consultation with your doc about getting one. It’s the same story every year with getting the flu vaccine, right? Well, there are three reasons for that:
- Vaccination is the best way to prevent the flu and its adverse effects.
- The effectiveness of the vaccine fades over time, so for optimal protection, it’s best to get an annual shot.
- The flu virus changes over time, so the formulation of the vaccine is updated accordingly, in order to combat it.
